Paula Poundstone had over six hundred friends of KSUT holding their sides and complaining that their cheeks hurt from laughing during her debut Durango performance last Saturday night. Check out the KSUT flickr page for photos from the show and the pre-show VIP reception at the Rochester Hotel. Thank you to all who attended this benefit for KSUT and thanks to our sponsors, The Rochester Hotel, Ska Brewing Company, Wildcat Canyon Liquors and Zia Taqueria.

Three great musicians will join us for three separate in-studio performances on Thursday afternoon.
We’ll kick things off with Patty Larkin shortly after 1:00 PM. Patty celebrated 25 years in the recording industry in 2010 with her CD “25″ featuring love songs reworked and newly recorded with a host of musician friends. She’s performing Thursday and Friday night at the Millwood Junction in Mancos. A singer-songwriter and amazing guitarist, Patty remains a core artist of the KSUT Music Blend and we look forward to a great session.
Eric Bibb will join us shortly after 2:00 PM for some traditional live blues. Bibb was last here in 2010 on his “Booker’s Guitar” tour, paying homage to the Delta Blues of Booker White. This time, he’ll be performing at the Community Concert Hall at Fort Lewis College along with fellow bluesman Guy Davis on their “Blues Pilgrims” tour.
Guy Davis will be joining us as well at approximately 2:30 for his first in-studio performance on KSUT. Blues guitarist, banjo player and actor, Davis is about to release “The Adventures of Fishy Waters: In Bed with the Blues”, an audio play that combines Davis’ original songs with those of Robert Johnson, Big Bill Broonzy and others. We look forward to some blues and storytelling to top off our afternoon of live guests.

A musical force equipped with the soulful vocals of Janis and the guitar slinging skills of Stevie Ray, Carolyn Wonderland reaches into the depths of the Texas blues tradition with the wit of a poet. Wonderland’s instrumental abilities include guitar, slide guitar, mandolin, trumpet and piano.
