Ron Fundingsland and Straight Ahead are taking a well deserved vacation this week. Jazz fans have no fear, as we’ve got a wonderful lineup of programming for you this evening, and Ron returns next Tuesday.

In place of Straight Ahead tonight we’ll be broadcasting two programs from NPR’s “Discoveries at Walt Disney Concert Hall” series, and a special from the European Jazz Stage:

At 8, it’s a tribute to jazz pianist Horace Silver, featuring Cedar Walton, Christian McBride, Dee Dee Bridgewater, and others.
