Tickets remain for the April 11, Fort Lewis College “Concerts for Scholarships” show featuring guitarist/singer-songwriter Stephen Stills. Curtain is 7:30 p.m. in the Fort’s Whalen Gymnasium.

Let’s take a quick video tour of Stills’ long career:

Remember when Stills was with Buffalo Springfield?  The band launched Stills career, thanks in large part to their famous “For What its Worth” song (which Stills wrote). After only 25 months, though, Buffalo Springfield fell apart. That’s what happens when you try to cram greats like Neil Young, Jim Messina and Stills into one band.

Stills joined Manassas in 1971 and added a little more country to his rock ‘n’ roll.

Everyone knows Stills most famous bands, Crosby, Stills & Nash and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. What more can be said about those super groups?

From the looks of things, Mr. Stills still has whatever it is that keeps a singer/songwriter relevant through five decades of rock ‘n’ roll.
