10- mid  A World Cafe Christmas Eve Special
Featuring an interview with Sting about his new holiday album “If On A Winter’s Night” and a holiday-themed music mix.

9 AM 12/25  Tinsel Tales: NPR Christmas Favorites Christmas is a time of traditions, and over the years, NPR has created a few traditions of its own. In this hour-long special: Wistfulness, joy, doubt, hope, all the emotions we feel at this time of year, all summoned up in memorable stories from the NPR broadcast archives. David Sedaris, Bailey White, John Henry Faulk — these and other NPR voices, past and present, tell stories of the season. It may be you’ll remember these tales fondly, or it may be you’ll fall in love with them for the first time.

10 AM A Carolina Christmas From Biltmore Estate, with Kathy Mattea

11 AM  Jay Ungar & Molly Mason The Pleasures of Winter This Americana duo and their special guests present an hour of live acoustic music celebrating the holidays and the winter season. Gorgeous acoustic rarities from around the world combine with swing jazz, English songs, original compositions and Jay’s signature fiddle tunes to make a relaxing yet stimulating hour of listening pleasure.

12 noon – 2 PM A World Cafe Christmas Day Special
For Christmas Day, the World Cafe features two hours of holiday-themed music. The first hour includes an interview and performance by the Preservation Hall Jazz Band.

2-4 PM  FM Odyssey’s Holiday Show
FM Odyssey uses the songs we grew up with to take you on this musical journey through the many moods and memories of the holiday season.

7-9 PM A Global Groove Holiday with Kenny B

9 PM Afropop Worldwide holiday special

10-midnight A World Cafe Christmas Day Special (encore)
