Last week we brought you Sam Bush’s set from the 2010 Newport Folk Festival – what a great recording! Hope you got to see him live over the weekend in Pagosa Springs. On Wednesday (9/8) we’ll be broadcasting the great John Prine’s set from Newport at 12 noon. Hear the legendary and influential singer-songwriter perform a career-spanning set, recorded just a few week’s ago at the mother of all folk festivals.

Coincidentally, we’re conducting our annual mail-in/online membership campaign at KSUT.  One of the coveted pledge drive gifts is the new CD from John Prine “In Person & On Stage”, available for your $72 pledge or more, made before the end of day on Friday (9/10). Support the great programming and music you enjoy on KSUT by making an online pledge today.

This live album is a culmination of John Prine’s last few years of touring and contains 14 songs, perfectly balanced between classic hits and new treasures from the Grammy Award-winning “Fair & Square” CD. Songs include:

1. Spanish Pipedream
2. She Is My Everything
3. In Spite Of Ourselves (with Iris DeMent)
4. Long Monday
5. The Late John Garfield Blues (with Sara Watkins)
6. The Bottomless Lake
7. Bear Creek Blues
8. Saddle In The Rain
