The 17th Annual Durango Bluegrass Meltdown is this weekend, with a great lineup of music and events. Tune-in for Jim Belcher’s phone interview with the young and amazing Sierra Hull Wednesday (4/6) following BBC news at 2. Her new release Daybreak is our feature CD this week. You can hear it Friday at noon.
Looking forward to having The Mashville Brigade perform in-studio on KSUT Friday morning at 11. The band is made up of famous Nashville based “sidemen” who ventured out with an album and tour of their own. Prior, they were the house band at Nashville’s famous dive bar, The Station Inn for a long time. Two members in particular are standouts: banjo player Terry Baucom who played with Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver; and Darrell Webb who has played with J.D. Crowe, Michael Cleveland, Lonesome River Band and many more.
